After Knee Replacement
Rehabilitation after total or partial knee replacement — bend, strength and walking, rebuilt in order.
For Anyone who has had a total knee replacement (TKR) or partial knee replacement, from hospital discharge onward — including surgery done elsewhere in India or abroad.
What you get Six weeks of physiotherapy to your surgeon’s protocol: early work on swelling, bend and straightening; then strength and walking without a stick; then stairs, balance and confidence. Knee bend is measured in degrees at every stage.

After Hip Replacement
Rehabilitation after total hip replacement or hip fracture surgery — safe movement first, then strength and walking.
For Anyone who has had a total hip replacement (THR) or surgery for a hip fracture, from hospital discharge onward.
What you get Six weeks to your surgeon’s protocol: the movements to avoid and the safe way to do everyday things, then strength around the hip, then walking distance, stairs and balance — with falls prevention for older patients.
How In the clinic, or the first weeks at home · assessment first · coordinated with your operating surgeon.

After Spine Surgery
Rehabilitation after discectomy, laminectomy or spinal fusion — careful, staged, and within your surgeon’s limits.
For Anyone recovering from a discectomy, microdiscectomy, laminectomy, decompression or spinal fusion, once your surgeon has cleared you for physiotherapy.
What you get Six weeks, staged: how to move, sit and lift safely; a graded walking programme; then core and back endurance so the result lasts. Nothing is loaded before your surgeon’s limits allow it.

After ACL Reconstruction
Rehabilitation after ACL reconstruction or meniscus repair — range, strength, then a measured return to running and sport.
For Players and active people after ACL reconstruction, with or without meniscus repair.
What you get Eight to twelve weeks of the early and middle stages of ACL rehabilitation: range and swelling, then strength, then single-leg control and jump testing. Why we are different
Rehabilitation with a surgeon in the building.
01An orthopaedic surgeon oversees itDr. Sunit reviews your operation notes at the start and sees you if progress stalls. Most physiotherapy rooms have no surgeon in the building.
02Your surgeon’s protocol, followedBring your discharge summary. Weight-bearing limits, range limits and timelines set by your operating surgeon are followed exactly, wherever you had the surgery.
03Progress you can readBend in degrees, strength in kilograms, walking distance and balance in seconds — measured at the start, the middle and the end.
04In the clinic, or at homeThe first weeks are often easier at home. Our physiotherapist comes to you within 10 km of Parra, then you move to the clinic when you can travel.

Your surgeon’s protocol comes first
Every operation and every surgeon has its own limits on weight-bearing, movement and timing. We follow the protocol in your discharge summary and speak to your surgeon’s team where it is unclear. Fever, a hot or leaking wound, calf pain or swelling, sudden breathlessness or new numbness are not physiotherapy problems — we stop and you are seen by a doctor the same day. No outcome is guaranteed; recovery depends on the operation, your health and the work you put in.
Programmes are prescribed after assessment. Imaging, medicines and braces are billed separately where needed.
Questions patients ask
Before you come in.
How much does physiotherapy after knee replacement cost in Goa?
At Ozran the six-week rehabilitation programme after knee replacement is ₹25,000. The same price applies after hip replacement and after spine surgery. Ten home sessions (Home Rehabilitation) are ₹22,000 within 5 km of Parra or ₹27,000 within 10 km.
When should physiotherapy start after a knee or hip replacement?
As early as your surgeon advises — usually within days of the operation. We begin as soon as you are discharged and cleared, at home if you cannot travel yet.
Do you provide physiotherapy at home after surgery?
Yes, within 10 km of the clinic in Parra — Anjuna, Vagator, Assagao, Siolim, Candolim, Calangute and Mapusa. Home Rehabilitation is ten sessions; single home visits of 45 or 60 minutes are from ₹2,500.
I had my surgery in another city or abroad and am recovering in Goa. Can you take over my rehabilitation?
Yes. Bring your discharge summary and your surgeon’s instructions. We follow that protocol exactly and send a progress note you can share with your surgeon.
How long is rehabilitation after ACL reconstruction?
Our programme covers eight to twelve weeks of the early and middle stages — range, strength, single-leg control and jump testing. Full return to sport takes longer, varies from person to person, and is decided with your surgeon on measured results.
Is physiotherapy safe after spine surgery?
Yes, when it stays within your surgeon’s limits. We start only once you are cleared, begin with safe movement and walking, and Dr. Sunit — an orthopaedic surgeon — reviews every spine patient’s notes.
Who supervises the rehabilitation?
Two senior physiotherapists, Dr. Krupali Sawant and Dr. Ishu Rawat, deliver it. Dr. Sunit Yadav, MBBS, DNB (Orthopaedic Surgery), FIPM, oversees every programme.
How do I start?
Send us your surgery and its date on WhatsApp, or book a ₹1,000 physiotherapy assessment. The programme is prescribed after the assessment, so nothing is paid for the programme until we have seen you.
The operation is half the result. The rehabilitation is the other half.
